Dr. Richard F. Salmon, a board certified physician, is a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Chemistry and graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon completion of his doctoral degree, he completed his residency at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Virginia. He served overseas at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba prior to completing a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology. He completed 13 years of service in the United States Navy at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth where he was Medical Director of the Acute Care Clinic in addition to serving in the first Gulf War stationed in Saudi Arabia. He recently completed 10 years serving as Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
